Free Standing Loading Docks – A Dock Face Where There Isn’t One
A free-standing loading dock is a heavy steel platform that stands in the yard and performs like a dock: forklifts ride up the approach ramp, cross the platform deck, and step onto trailers at bed height — wherever your building has no dock at all.
Structure: modular bolted steel; concrete ballast or anchors per site
Height: fixed or hydraulic height adjustment to match trailer fleets
Capacity: engineered to forklift axle loads; 6–10 t class typical
Add-ons: bumpers, wheel chocks, canopy, gate and guardrail packages
It pairs naturally with a dock leveler at the platform edge for precise trailer interfacing, and complements our modular dock platform systems for larger installations.
Send Hanmoke a site sketch — we will return a layout, drawing set and factory-direct quotation.
Do free-standing docks need a building?
No — they work in open yards; canopies and lighting can be added for weather and night operations.
Can they be relocated?
Yes, modular bolted construction allows disassembly and reinstallation at another site.
