Dock Plate & Dock Boards
Dock Plates & Dock Boards – Light-Duty Docking, Heavy-Duty Value
Dock plates and dock boards are the portable, low-cost way to bridge small height differences — pallet trucks walking into containers, forklifts crossing from dock to low bed, or goods trolleys at retail back doors.
Choosing Between Them
Dock plates: flat aluminum or steel sheet with bent edges; walk-behind pallet trucks and hand traffic, typically up to 3 t.
Dock boards (dock boards with curbs): steel with bolted side curbs to stop forklift wheels drifting off the edge; powered forklift use, typically 3–10 t.
Standard Features
Serrated or checkered surface for grip in wet conditions
Bolted lifting handles; some models fork-slot for positioning
Optional rubber bumpers that hook the trailer lip
Custom lengths for container floor heights (commonly 1.3–1.6 m above ground)
Factory-Direct Advantages
Hanmoke cuts plates and boards to your actual gap and height, not just catalog sizes — with short lead times and pricing without middlemen. They pair well with a container ramp for full forklift loading inside containers.
Tell us your vehicle types, heights and loads; we will specify plate or board, thickness and length, and quote the same week.
Plate or board — which one for a forklift?
Use a dock board with side curbs whenever a powered forklift crosses; flat plates are for pallet trucks and foot traffic.
What length suits a container?
Container floors sit roughly 1.3–1.6 m above ground, so 2–2.5 m lengths keep the grade forklift-friendly.
Aluminum or steel?
Aluminum for hand-pushed traffic and corrosion resistance; steel where forklift wheels and edge loading demand strength.
