Electric Hydraulic Edge of Dock Leveler
Electric Hydraulic Edge of Dock Leveler – Push-Button Dock Bridging
The Electric Hydraulic Edge of Dock Leveler adds a hydraulic power unit and control system to the proven no-pit edge-of-dock structure. The operator simply presses a button to raise or lower the deck and extend the lip onto the truck bed — no lever required, and one full cycle takes no more than 30 seconds. It suits busy docks, dedicated operators and automated facilities where the leveler interlinks with the dock door and signal lights.
Like the mechanical version, it face-mounts to the dock front with no pit construction, carries 6–20 t on a 1,830 mm (72″) chequer plate deck, and stores flush with the dock floor. The 0.75 kW power pack runs on 380V / 220V / 415V / 24V supplies, and the whole unit is engineered for a 15-year design service life with ≥ 99% availability.
Capacity: 6 / 8 / 15 / 20 t | Height Adjust: −180 / +250 mm | Cycle Time: ≤ 30 s | Motor: 0.75 kW | Power: 380V / 220V / 415V / 24V | Deck Width: 1,830 mm (72″)
Key Features
- Push-button operation – hydraulic lift and lip extend at the touch of a button; full cycle ≤ 30 s
- No-pit installation – same face-mount methods as the mechanical version; retrofit without downtime
- Multi-voltage power pack – 0.75 kW motor on 380V / 220V / 415V / 24V, customisable to site supply
- Wider working range – height adjustment −180 / +250 mm covers more trailer bed variations
- Brand-name hydraulics – Bulff pump, HALLITE seals, FRF double-wire burst-proof hoses
- Quiet and reliable – ≤ 50 dB(A) noise, ≥ 99% availability, 15-year design life
- Heavy-duty bridge structure – 10–20 mm chequer plate deck with arch-reinforced lip and full-length piano hinges
- Dock integration ready – can interlink with dock doors and traffic signal lights for automated flow

Deck and lip construction, bumpers and mounting methods are identical to the mechanical version; only the power train differs.
General & Finish
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Welding | Gas-shielded welding; even, sound joints without porosity |
| Paint preparation | Shot blasting, four paint coats, high-temperature baking |
| Bumpers | H100 × W200 × L300 mm, punched from belt stock |
| Deck / lip | Chequer plate, thickened as load rating increases |
| Mounting | Identical to the mechanical version; pit-free installation |
| Options | Bumper type, steel platform and guard rails, wider deck, longer lip |
How It Works – Three Steps
- 1. Secure the truck – truck reverses squarely against the bumpers; parking brake applied and wheels chocked
- 2. Press the button – the deck rises and the lip extends automatically onto the truck bed (overlap ≥ 100 mm)
- 3. Load and return – forklifts cross at ≤ 8 km/h; after work, one button returns the deck flush with the dock
Application Scenarios
Push-button cycling keeps up with tight shipping schedules.
Interlinks with dock doors and signal lights for hands-free flow.
Fast cycles reduce door-open time and temperature loss.
No-pit face mounting upgrades existing docks in days, not weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the electric and mechanical version?
The mechanical version is operated with a manual lever and spring counterbalance (zero energy cost); the electric version adds a 0.75 kW hydraulic power unit for push-button lift in under 30 seconds. Structure, deck specs and pit-free mounting are identical.
What power supplies does it support?
Standard options are 380V / 220V / 415V / 24V, and the voltage can be customised to your site supply.
What height range does it cover?
Height adjustment is −180 mm to +250 mm relative to dock level — wider than the mechanical version’s ±125 mm.
Can it work with my dock door and signals?
Yes. The control system can interlink with the dock door and traffic signal lights, which is ideal for automated or high-throughput warehouses.
